Imerys Refractory Minerals South Africa has an opportunity for a recent graduate to gain further experiential learning and practice within plant processing improvement and optimisation.
The intern will play an integral part in assisting technical team in rolling out and monitoring the adoption of the processing best practice strategy and continuous improvement strategy. The intern will be responsible for analysing plant KPI’s and suggesting improvements. Other contributions in the role include monthly reporting on Mass balance, Water Balance and Energy consumption for multiple plants. As well as being required to assist with capital projects on all sites. The intern will work on assignments related to optimization of consumables across different sites.
Successful candidates will be on a contract during their Internship. Participation in the Internship does not guarantee a placement into a permanent role. Permanenet employment is at the discretion of the company. Successful applicants will be expected to sign an Internship agreement. Successful candidates are expected to adhere to all company Health and Safety policies and procedures as well as ensuring good house keeping practices.
- Completed Engineering qualification. Preference will be given to process engineering graduate.
- 1 year exposure to process improvement implementation would be beneficial.
- Must be Computer literate at a minimum intermdiate level.
- Must be willing to travel extensively.
- Must have valid unendorsed code 8, driver’s license. Own vehicle would be beneficial.
